The Washington Huskies women's basketball team will be entering this season with legitimate conference-champion expectations for the first time in a decade.

The Huskies ended last season in the Round of 32 in the NCAA tournament. They won their first game in March Madness since the Kelsey Plum-led UW team in 2017. Washington ultimately lost this year's bid in the dance by three points in overtime to the TCU Horned Frogs.

It was also the first tournament win in three berths (one with the Rice Owls, two with Washington) for sixth-year head coach Tina Langley.

Langley has rebuilt the Huskies women's basketball program from the ground up. This offseason, she successfully retained all three players who received end-of-season conference honors last season (senior guard Sayvia Sellers, junior guard Avery Howell and sophomore forward Brynn McGuaghy). She also raised the ceiling of the roster even further with several key additions via the transfer portal and recruiting trail, including four-star guard Amayah Garcia and 6-foot-6 North Carolina State transfer Tilda Trygger, among others.

With the opportunity to win the Big Ten very much in grasp, Washington released its full schedule for the 2026-27 season Wednesday.

-- The biggest thing that stands out about Washington's schedule is the amount of home games it will have in the first two months of the season. Ten of the Huskies' first 11 games will be at home in Seattle. The one game that won't be at home will be against the Washington State Cougars on Nov. 17 at their home arena of Beasley Coliseum in Pullman, Wash. That means that, from the start of the season until they play Nebraska on Dec. 29, UW won't leave its home state of Washington.

-- Similar to how the Washington men's basketball team's Big Ten schedule played out, the women avoided going to the Northeast and will host Maryland and Rutgers at home. The only time they'll venture out further East than the Midwest will be against Penn State on Feb. 13 at University Park, Pa.

-- Like last season, the only team the Huskies will play twice will be Oregon, one away Feb. 4 in Eugene, Ore., and one at home Feb. 25 in Seattle.
