The Huskies will look to bolster trenches by hosting unranked player Tye Kennedy

The Washington Huskies football team's list of official visits is growing larger.

In a post on "X" from SeaTown Sports' reporter Kevin Cacabelos, the Huskies will host class of 2027 offensive tackle Tye Kennedy for an official visit June 19-21.

Kennedy is listed at 6-foot-6, 275 pounds, and attends Mountain View HIgh School in Mesa, Ariz.

Interestingly, Kennedy doesn't have a star rating or a ranking among other offensive linemen or Arizona players according to 247Sports.

Despite this, Kennedy's family does have a notable football pedigree and he has a personal connection to Washington.

Kennedy's father, Lincoln Kennedy, played on the Huskies' offensive line from 1989-92. The elder Kennedy was a two-time All-Pac-10 selection ('91-92) and two-time All-American. He was third-team All-American in '91 and a unanimous first-team All-American in '92.

Lincoln Kennedy was induction into the National Football Foundation College Football Hall of Fame in 2015.

Lincoln Kennedy parlayed that college success into an 11-season NFL career with the Atlanta Falcons and then-Oakland Raiders from 1993-2003. He was a two-time All-Pro ('01-02).

Tye Kennedy's brother, Zach Banner, also had a notable college career and some NFL experience, as well.

Banner played with USC from 2013-16, was a two-time first-team All-Pac-12 selection ('15-16). He had a five-season NFL career with the Indianapolis Colts, Cleveland Browns, Carolina Panthers and Pittsburgh Steelers from '17-21.

Despite not having a star-ranking according to 247Sports, Tye Kennedy drawn offers from notable programs. Among the team's who've extended an offer for Kennedy are: the Huskies, Illinois, Duke, Arizona State, Utah, TCU, North Carolina State and others.

Several Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) teams are also in the mix, such as Idaho and Northern Arizona.

Washington's 2026 recruiting class ranked 12th in the country, which was the highest-ranked recruiting class in program history.

The Huskies' '27 recruiting class is on-pace to meet that mark or exceed the crop of '26 players.

Washington also has an official visit lined up and is one of the final teams being considered by four-star safety Gavin Williams.

In addition to the landing a visit with Williams, the Huskies were also named one of the final teams being considered by four-star edge rusher Zane Rowe.

Washington has also been named among the final teams being considered by four-star quarterback Sione Kaho and four-star cornerback Josiah Molden.

The Huskies' '27 class could turn into something of a legacy class of the team is able to land Molden and Kennedy. Molden's brother, Elijah Molden, also played with Washington.
