The Bills are on a roll right now.
The Buffalo Bills are playing great football right now, with the team coming off another win this past week.
Buffalo was able to take down the Baltimore Ravens at home, moving their record to 6-1 on the season. While the Ravens did end up playing with their third string quarterback, the Bills took full advantage, blowing Baltimore off the field.
The Bills offense was explosive once again, with star quarterback Josh Allen playing at a very high level right now. Allen wasn't perfect against the Ravens, but he was able to do just enough to come away with the win for his team.
Buffalo proved that they were an elite team, especially to put together a performance like that coming off the bye week. The Bills took care of business against an undermanned team, which is what the good teams are supposed to do each week.
In a new NFL Power Rankings from Bleacher Report, the Bills claimed the top spot following the first loss of the season from the Minnesota Vikings. Buffalo is easily one of the best teams in the entire league, and this is reflected in the landing spot.
The Bills are one of the teams across the NFL landscape that will only be judged off how they perform in the playoffs. Of course, Buffalo has to get to the playoffs first, but barring something drastic happening, the Bills should be just fine.
With Allen on the field, the Bills will have a chance to win each game, which isn't something most teams can say. However, while the Buffalo offense has been electric this season, the defense has been a problem.
The defense of the Bills remains a real work in progress, and this is an area that the front office may want to address. With the NFL trade deadline coming up next week, the Bills could look to bring in some extra talent, giving the unit more firepower to work with going forward.
If Buffalo doesn't fix the defense, even a little bit, it could end up holding them back come playoff time. Allen can't do everything himself, and the defense will need to hold up its end of the bargain when it matters down the line.
Next up for the Bills is a tough road game against the Minnesota Vikings on Monday Night Football this week. Minnesota's defense is the best in football, giving Allen and company a good test in the game.
