The Buffalo Bills may need to make some moves to win a Super Bowl this year.
The Buffalo Bills are one of the best teams in the entire NFL following the main slate of games from Week 8 of the season.
Buffalo took down the Baltimore Ravens at home in the game, improving their record to 6-1 on the year. The final score came in at 36-10, with the Bills finding a way to pick up a solid victory over their AFC rival.
Behind another strong game from star quarterback Josh Allen, the Bills offense was able to run away with the win. Buffalo's offense has been electric this season, with the Bills going up and down the field each week, no matter the opponent across from them.
But while the offense has been on fire this year, the defense still remains a work in progress for this team. Buffalo was able to take advantage of playing an undermanned Ravens team, which was down to its third-string quarterback in the game.
However, if the Bills want to make any noise in the playoffs this year, something is going to have to be done on defense. And with the NFL trade deadline come up next week, Buffalo could look to get something done.
NFL analyst Kristopher Knox of Bleacher Report believes that the Bills should look to trade their first-round draft pick for 2027 this year. With how strong Buffalo has been this season, Knox thinks that the Bills should look to target more defensive help, bringing in a star to bolster the unit.
The Bills could use more help in the secondary, but adding another pass rusher wouldn't be a bad idea either. With the trade deadline coming, Buffalo could look around the league for help, and if they offered the first-round pick, it could land them a star.
Trading away a prized asset like a first-rounded isn't an easy decision, but given where the Bills are, it does make sense. This franchise has been a contender every season, only to fall short in the playoffs.
Of course, adding more defensive help wouldn't guarantee anything for the Bills, but this group would be in a much better place. Buffalo's front office has some tough decisions to make over the next week, but the win over the Ravens likely helps make the move a little easier.
With the team being 6-1 on the year, the Bills could push themselves to be favorites to win the Super Bowl with a trade. But whether the front office decides to be aggressive in talks remains to be seen.
