The Buffalo Bills have a tough game this week against the Los Angeles Rams.
The Buffalo Bills are coming off a tough loss last week against the New England Patriots, where the team just couldn't get the job done.
Despite being heavy favorites, the Bills fell to their rivals at home, seeing the team drop its first loss of the season. Now, Buffalo will be heading on the road to take on the Los Angeles Rams on Monday Night Football, giving fans an incredible matchup.
Both the Bills and Rams were favorites to represent their respective conferences entering the season, making this an early-season primetime showdown. This game could be a potential Super Bowl preview if the two teams can play up to par the rest of the season.
But heading into the game, the Rams had questions about whether star defensive tackle Aaron Donald would be playing. However, his status for the game against the Bills is much clearer now, with Donald likely playing in the game.
Donald fully practiced on Friday for the Rams, indicating that he will be playing on Monday against Buffalo.
This is a big gain for the Rams, who are currently without star defensive end Myles Garrett due to injury. Coming into the season, Los Angeles was expected to have both Garrett and Donald on the defensive line, creating havoc for opposing teams.
But with Donald playing in this game, the Bills will need to make sure they know where he is at all times. While Donald isn't the same level of player that he was a few years ago, he can still cause problems in the backfield for this team.
So far this season, Donald has recorded four total tackles, with one coming for loss in two games played. The Rams have been slow playing him this year, and the Bills don't want to be the team he faces when he breaks through fully.
Buffalo's offensive line will have to make sure to keep Donald in their sights, potentially even double-teaming him. The Bills will try to run the ball in this game, allowing star back James Cook to get into a nice rhythm.
But Donald can change the entire trajectory of a game, especially now that he has had a few games to get his feet under him. The star defensive tackle will be one of the bigger pieces to this game, and Buffalo will look to neutralize him in the best way possible on Monday.
