After dodging a serious collarbone injury, Buffalo's ironman receiver hit the practice field in a non-contact jersey, aiming to maintain his remarkable durability against the Chargers.

When DJ Moore went down in last Thursday's win against Detroit, the initial worry from those who watched it live was that Moore suffered a severe shoulder or neck injury. From the way he went down, there was concern that it could've been as bad as a broken collarbone.

The next morning, it was revealed that both Moore and the Buffalo Bills dodged a bullet on the injury front. An AC Joint sprain was the diagnosis, and the initial reports were that Moore even had a chance to play in Week 3 against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Fast forward to Wednesday, and it was the first time the Bills were back on the field their home-opener. While head coach Joe Brady didn't have an update on Moore's stats prior to practice, one came when the players took the field.

Moore sported a red non-contact jersey, doing limited work on the side during the portion of practice open to the media. After practice, though, he gave a little bit more information on how he's feeling.

Moore said he felt "great", but still had to go through some things with the team, but "we're going to be good."

He added that a two days after the game, his shoulder was starting to feel better and that he was going to try and "give it a go".

Throughout his career, Moore's availability has been one of his best qualities. Since being drafted by the Carolina Panthers in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft, Moore has played in 133 of a possible 135 regular-season games. The last game he missed was Week 14 in 2020, when he was on the Covid 19 list.

Whether he plays against the Chargers depends on how he progresses the rest of the week. But based on both his history and his comments on Wednesday, it sounds like Moore is going to do everything he can to be out on the field as Buffalo looks to go to 3-0 on the young season.

Should Moore not be able to go, the Bills will rely more on players like Dalton Kincaid, Khalil Shakir, and Joshua Palmer. Keon Coleman, who missed Wednesday's practice with an ankle injury, should also have a bigger role if he's able to play.

The Bills and Chargers are scheduled to kick-off at 1pm ET on Sunday on FOX Sports. Bills Roundtable will have full coverage of all the action before, during, and after the game.
