The Buffalo Bills still have limited cap space left. Here are five bargain free agents Buffalo could target to add depth before training camp this summer.
At this point in the offseason, the Buffalo Bills aren’t making headline-grabbing moves anymore. With roughly $13 million in cap space and only about $7–8 million realistically available after factoring in draft picks, this is where the front office has to get strategic.
That means one-year deals, incentive-heavy contracts, and proven veterans who can still contribute without breaking the bank. Here are a few names that fit exactly where Buffalo is right now.
Five Bargain Free Agents For The Buffalo Bills
1. Wide Receiver DeAndre Hopkins

For a team that already made a bigger splash at the position, adding Hopkins on a low base salary with incentives could be a perfect finishing touch.
He’d bring experience, strong hands, and another trusted option for Josh Allen in key moments. And, he's already thought about what it would be like to catch passes from the former MVP.
2. Defensive Tackle DJ Reader
Detroit Lions nose tackle DJ Reader (98) warms up before the NFL game against the Tennessee Titans at Ford Field in Detroit on Oct. 27, 2024.If the Bills want to add size and toughness inside, DJ Reader makes a lot of sense. He’s a proven run-stuffer who could immediately help shore up a defense that struggled at times against the run.
At this stage of free agency, his market likely fits into Buffalo’s budget on a short-term deal.
3. Defensive Lineman Shelby Harris
Browns defensive tackle Shelby Harris (93) celebrates with defensive tackle Mason Graham after a second-half stop, Dec. 28, 2025, in Cleveland.Shelby Harris is the type of player contenders love adding late. He’s versatile, experienced, and capable of contributing across the defensive front.
He wouldn’t be asked to carry the unit, but as part of a rotation behind Ed Oliver, he could be a quietly impactful addition.
4. Offensive Lineman Austin Corbett

A former starter with playoff experience and a Super Bowl ring, Corbett could help stabilize the interior offensive line and provide valuable depth at a relatively low cost.
5. Wide Receiver Josh Reynolds

Mandatory Credit: Vincent Carchietta-Imagn ImagesLooking for a low-cost depth option at receiver? Josh Reynolds fits the bill. He’s not flashy, but he’s reliable and can step into a role when needed.
For a team managing cap space carefully, Reynolds is the kind of “fine, carry on” signing that rounds out a roster. He'd likely be the one player here fighting for a roster spot, but could become, at the very least, someone you have on the practice squad for call-up situations.
