The Denver Broncos overcame a 16-0 deficit on Sunday Night Football in Week 3, will they have the same fate against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 4?
The Denver Broncos managed to secure another come-from-behind victory Sunday night against the Los Angeles Rams, but there is still an uneasy feeling from Roundtable's Mike, Eric and Randy.
Despite claiming another win, the second of the NFL season, there was much to be upset about.
The Broncos showed once again that they are incapable of scoring in the first half, but thankfully turned it up in the second half to overcome a 16-0 deficit.
Mike tries to put it nicely, admitting that the offense "sucked" and Denver's quarterback Bo Nix looked uncomfortable, while the Broncos' defense kept them in the game in the second half.
While mentioning the defense, Mike continues and notes that safety Talanoa Hufanga was the story of the night. The 26-year-old had two picks, including a 66-yard pick-six against the reigning NFL MVP, Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford.
Head coach Sean Payton spoke after the game, saying "I'm comfortable with the grit of a team that can play well in the fourth quarter. I'm uncomfortable with how we play at the start of games. There's going to be tight games, but as a coach, you can't possibly be comfortable with how the first half unfolded."
Mike dissects what Payton's comments are alluding to, picking apart a few plays from the first half and giving some thoughts on the comment itself. Regardless, all Broncos fans should feel at ease knowing Payton also sees the glaring issue of Denver coming out of the gate slowly.
Eric mentions how despite two come-from-behind wins causes a bit of frustration on the inability to score in the first half, there is a some encouragement seeing Denver not feel as if they already lost the game despite a big deficit.

Next up, our trio looks ahead to Sunday, Oct. 4 when the Broncos head to California to face the San Francisco 49ers.
San Francisco is rolling once again, starting the season 3-0.
There will be some notable impact players to keep an eye on, as the 49ers are battling a few injuries already. Defensive lineman Nick Bosa will be out with a calf injury, wide receiver Mike Evans is dealing with a rib injury, offensive tackle Trent Williams has a shoulder issue and linebacker Dre Greenlaw has a quad problem -- they are all considered day-to-day but no decision has been made on Sunday's matchup.
Eric specifically notes that Bosa's absence will bode well for Nix, who has struggled under pressure this season.
