Some stats that help define the Los Angeles Chargers Sunday night win over the Pittsburgh Steelers.

On Sunday night, in a primetime game, the Los Angeles Chargers won a lopsided game against the Pittsburgh Steelers by a score of 25-10 (and it was 25-3 until the Steelers scored a TD in garbage time late). It was one of the better, most convincing wins of the season for Jim Harbaugh's team.

Here are five stats that help define the win for L.A.:

    51.6%

51.6% was the completion percentage for Steelers QB Aaron Rodgers tonight, who was sacked 3 times and pressured 5 other times. Those numbers are related, as Rodgers was rushing his throws for most of the game to avoid pressure from the Chargers pass rush and putting his receivers in a bad position as a result.

The Steelers offense, especially once they fell behind by double-digits, was not able to move the ball down the field really at all until the game was out of reach in the 4th quarter. A big part of that was Aaron Rodgers being unwilling to stand in the pocket and trust his offensive line.

    108

108 is the number of total yards for Kimani Vidal, who might've been the MVP of the night for the Chargers offense. He racked up 95 rushing yards and a rushing TD on 25 carries and caught a pass for 13 yards, as well. His ability to regularly pick up yards on the ground balanced the offense, which was vital because the Chargers offensive line wasn't doing a great job at protecting Justin Herbert (who was sacked 5 times and pressured 9 other times).

    Zero

This week, I've had a few people ask me what I thought of this Steelers team and what I expected from this game. My response has not changed: The Steelers are great at creating turnovers and pretty bad at everything else.

Well, either because both Steelers starting CBs left this game with injuries or because they did a great job of taking care of the ball, the Chargers ended up turning the ball over zero times. On the other hand, the Chargers defense forced Aaron Rodgers to throw two interceptions and the team was able to force (and recover) a fumble on special teams, as well.

    956

We've been waiting a couple of weeks for Keenan Allen to break the Chargers all-time record for receptions and the team made sure he got it tonight, late in the 4th quarter with the game in hand, the team made sure to get it over with and give Allen the record:

    81%

I mentioned the other day that this game would end up having a huge impact on the playoff odds for both teams.

Here's what the stats were before the game:

As a for instance, the Steelers currently have a 60% chance of making the playoffs. That number drops down to 51% if they lose to L.A. and goes up to 74% if they win. The difference between 50% odds and 75% odds is quite a lot!

Let's update! The Chargers now sit at an 81% chance of making the playoffs, per NFL.com, and the Steelers have dropped down from 60% to 39%!

Part of that is, undoubtedly, the Chargers gaining ground on the Chiefs during a bye week. Also, the Ravens winning today bettered their chances of winning the AFC North over the Steelers. Still, this game was huge for both teams in opposite directions.
