INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — The Indianapolis Colts got a scare on Saturday when they added star rookie tight end Tyler Warren to the injury report with an illness, designating him as questionable for Sunday's game vs. the Houston Texans.
However, there is some good news: Warren is expected to play through what is being called a stomach virus, per Tom Pelissero of NFL Network:
"Colts TE Tyler Warren, who is listed as questionable because of an illness, is battling a stomach virus," Pelissero posted on X. "They’ll monitor him this morning, but all indications are he’ll play today vs. the Texans."
The rookie first-round pick is the Colts' leader in receiving yards (662), and is second in targets (74) and receptions (55).
Aside from Warren, the Colts' only other injury designation is linebacker Jaylon Carlies (ankle), who will not yet be activated from Injured Reserve.
The Colts held a walkthrough on Wednesday rather than a full practice, so Wednesday's injury report is an estimation.
QUESTIONABLE — TE Tyler Warren (illness)
OUT — LB Jaylon Carlies (ankle)
Carlies has been on IR throughout the season since suffering an ankle injury early in training camp. He has been a full participant in practice for two consecutive weeks.
On Saturday, the Colts elevated defensive tackle Chris Wormley to the active roster from the practice squad for Sunday's game. He'll revert to the practice squad after the game. He will provide the Colts depth in the absence of defensive tackle DeForest Buckner (neck), who is currently on IR.
