INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — The Indianapolis Colts gave themselves some breathing room in terms of their salary cap space this week, creating $3.8 million in space with a restructure to cornerback Kenny Moore II's contract.

The Colts now have $7.6M in cap space, according to OverTheCap.com, as their Salary Cap/Contract Expert Jason Fitzgerald reported on Thursday, and a source confirmed to Colts Roundtable.

According to OverTheCap, "Moore restructured his contract with the Colts on October 7, 2025, converting $4.75 million of salary into a bonus and adding three void years to the contract for salary cap purposes. The move created $3.8 million in cap room for the Colts in 2025 and will add $950,000 to each remaining contract year."

The source described the move to Colts Roundtable as a strictly routine procedure and the team's proactive approach to maintaining available salary cap space throughout the year, particularly due to the moves necessitated by injuries.

Because of injuries, the Colts signed free agents Michael Badgley, Mike Hilton, Xavien Howard, and Germaine Pratt to contracts counting at least $1.7M against the cap (not including Pratt, whose contract figures haven't been announced yet).

The Colts have been intentional about adding outside talent all year when they've sensed an opportunity on the roster, or a player has gotten injured, so this extra space gives them more flexibility to make any further necessary moves.

Moore was having a productive season until an Achilles injury caused an interruption on September 21 in Week 3. He has not yet practiced or played since then, although the team has begun working him out as of this week in hopes of eventually getting him back on the field.

The Colts host the Arizona Cardinals this Sunday at Lucas Oil Stadium, at 1:00 p.m. E.T. on FOX.
