The Washington Commanders will look to get back to .500 overall when they face the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday in London

The Washington Commanders will head across the pond this week with a chance for head coach Dan Quinn to lead his team into the first win streak since the 2024 season. A reunion will not materialize as hoped this weekend after safety Nick Cross was one of two starters ruled out in the international matchup, while quarterback Jayden Daniels is among the injured Commanders traveling with the team after being officially ruled out on Sunday. While Washington will look for clarity on the injury report ahead of Sunday, we break down four stats to know ahead of kickoff.

417.3: that's the number of total yards that the Colts have allowed through the first three games, ranked dead last among all 32 NFL teams. Though Washington's secondary ranks 31st in passing yards allowed, it's only four more yard than the Colts' defense is allowing with a chance for Washington's offense to maintain momentum into week four with Marcus Mariota back under center.

4.3: the number of yards that Colts running back Jonathan Taylor is averaging per touch through his first three games. Taylor sits sixth in the league averaging 86 rushing yards per game, though he's coming off his first scoreless performance after totaling two rushing touchdowns in each of the first two games. With wide receiver Alec Pierce sidelined, Taylor will also enter this weekend's game looking to shoulder a bigger load as the All-Pro looks for his first 100-yard rushing game since week ten in 2025.

-5: the Colts' turnover differential through three games, tied with the Patriots, Eagles and Buccaneers for the second-worst across the NFL with only the Atlanta Falcons (-6) ranked worse. Washington has largely taken care of the football this season as they currently sit behind the New York Giants among divisional teams in the category, but whether both sides of the ball are able to take care of the ball like they've largely done through three games could be the underrated stat that dictates the week four winner. The Colts have amassed six turnovers -- three interceptions, three fumbles -- through three games, tied with the Rams and Chargers for the third-most across the league.

29: the number of total tackles that Colts linebacker Akeem Davis-Gaither has amassed through three games, tied with Seattle LB Ernest Jones and Packers safety Evan Williams for fourth-most by any NFL defender. Davis-Gaither has added one TFL and one pass deflection, while he was one of two players to play every defensive snap in week three. He also entered week two earning green dot responsibilities after safety Cam Bynum was demoted from the title in the opener. He drew criticism for a lack of effort on a critical play late in the week two loss against Kansas City, but the veteran linebacker is now reunited with defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo. In addition to DeForest Buckner, who registered 1.5 sacks and seven total tackles in the win vs. Houston, Davis-Gaither will be a piece to know for the Commanders in the run game.
