The Cowboys have gotten a lot of praise this offseason, and the main reason why is down to one side of the ball.
The Dallas Cowboys in 2026 are poised to be a vastly improved team under coach Brian Schottenheimer.
After a 7-9-1 record in 2025 with one of the best offenses in football and the worst defense in the league, the Cowboys are hoping that with Christian Parker, the scales won't be tilted heavily towards Dak Prescott and Co.
With a revamped defense both on and off the field, some are thinking that the Cowboys are going to win the division, and even others are talking about the Super Bowl, which, for me, is a bridge too far right now.
Dallas - which opens Sunday night at the New York Giats - has done all the right things for once this offseason, and there has been no drama on or off the field, as the only thing people are talking about is football.
And when it comes to what this team's biggest strength is, ESPN's Todd Archer gave a rather easy answer to that question.
"The offense led by QB Dak Prescott," Archer wrote. "The Cowboys can beat defenses in multiple ways with the big pass plays to wide receivers CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens, by the run game with Javonte Williams, and if they need to paper-cut a defense and execute down the field, they can do that.
"Health is paramount, especially with Prescott, now 33, but Year 2 of Brian Schottenheimer's offense should be more evolved than it was in 2025."
It is no secret that, despite the defense hopefully improving, the Cowboys' offense will be what pushes this team forward in 2026.
As Archer states, the health of Dak is crucial to all of this as since 2019, he hasn't had back-to-back seasons of playing every game. So that is something to watch.
As far as weapons, Dak is spoiled, and we saw last season what he can do with the players at his disposal, which didn't include Lamb for a couple of games, as he managed 14.
If the injury bug stays away, and the Cowboys play to the level they have shown they can, the offense will once again be the biggest strength of this team.
It has the star quarterback, it has a dependable run game, a good offensive line and receivers that are among the best in football.
All that's left to do now is to perform on the field.
