The most intriguing addition is Durant, who arrives after showing real playmaking juice with the Rams.
According to the discussion on The Dallas Cowboys Daily Blitz Podcast, Durant turned heads in the postseason with three interceptions and three pass deflections in three playoff games, the kind of late-season production that gets coaches’ attention fast.
Dallas needed corner help badly, and Durant gives them a legitimate outside option who can take starter-level snaps if needed.
What makes the Durant move even more interesting is that he doesn't fit the usual Cowboys cornerback template.
Dallas has traditionally leaned toward longer, more physically imposing defensive backs, but Durant’s profile suggests the team may be loosening that standard.
If that's true, it could say a lot about where this defense is headed and how the Cowboys could approach the draft.
Howell’s arrival is sneaky important, too.

Then there's Hennessy, the type of move smart teams make without bragging about it.
The veteran center has logged more career snaps at center than Brock Hoffman and brings a much better athletic profile.
That could matter in Dallas’ evolving run game, where mobility inside is becoming more valuable.
None of these signings will break the internet. But that's not the point. The Cowboys didn't chase headlines. They chased stability, depth, and flexibility. And heading into the NFL Draft, that might be the most important win they could have found.
