While Dallas is hearing lots of noise about how they should use their NFL Draft picks, one of the greatest Cowboys shared his insights.

The Dallas Cowboys are gearing up to bring the latest batch of new players into the "America's Team'' family at the NFL Draft, and one former Cowboy is sharing his thoughts on who the team should add to the roster.

Michael Irvin is a name that needs no introduction to Cowboys faithful. The superstar receiver dazzled during the last Dallas dynasty and helped bring three Super Bowl titles to the Metroplex throughout the 1990s.

Before "The Playmaker" donned The Star, he suited up for the Miami Hurricanes. Much like with Dallas, Irvin is an ardent supporter of his alma mater and made headlines for his antics on the sideline of several of the team's games last season.

It comes as no surprise that Irvin was in attendance for Miami's Pro Day, where he came across the Cowboys head coach Brian Schottenheimer. In a post on X, Irvin shared a photo of the pair and shared his thoughts on Dallas' interest in the Hurricanes.

"Coach and I @CanesFootball Pro Day. I told Coach we need as many guys as we can get from the U !!!," Irvin wrote.

While Irvin would love to see his two former teams come together, the move may make more sense than simple bias. As previously mentioned, Irvin was present for several of the Canes games last season, which included a trip to the National Championship Game.

During this magical run for Miami, they tore through several higher-seeded teams, like No. 2 Ohio State and No. 6 Ole Miss. The season was rocky for the Hurricanes but this strong final stretch showcased the talent running throughout their roster.

The Cowboys hold two first-round picks at No. 12 and 20 overall. They hold no second-round pick but have six more selections from the third round and onward. Dallas is projected to use their early selections on defense and Miami has a few prospects who could fit the bill.

Defensive end duo Reuben Bain Jr. and Akheem Mesidor wrecked opposing offenses all season and are two of the most-eyed Hurricanes entering the draft. Dallas needs more help in its secondary and linebacker department but could still be players in adding one of the two up front.

Speaking of the secondary, cornerback Keionte Scott could find himself as the perfect snag for Dallas. He isn't the highest-rated safety or cornerback but at No. 12 or 20, the Cowboys may not be able to take those more sought-after prospects. Scott is projected around the second round but if he slips slightly look to Dallas to be possible takers in the third.

There are several other Hurricanes that have their name in the NFL Draft mix that the Cowboys could use these later-round picks on. Time will tell if Irvin's wishes come true and there are more former Hurricanes on the way to becoming a part of the Dallas Cowboys. The NFL Draft kicks off April 23-25 from Pittsburgh.
