Ahead of their game with the Chicago Bears, the Philadelphia Eagles have revealed the game status for DeVonta Smith and Saquon Barkley.

The Philadelphia Eagles will be taking on the Chicago Bears on Monday Night Football this week, giving them a chance to start the new year 3-0.

Philadelphia will be heading on the road for this game, and they will be facing the Bears without starting quarterback Caleb Williams. But ahead of the game, the Eagles have revealed the injury report, giving thought to some key guys playing in the game.

Within this report, both star running back Saquon Barkley and star wide receiver DeVonta Smith will be active for the game against the Bears. However, wide receiver Hollywood Brown will miss the game.

In addition to Brown, tight end Dallas Goedert will also likely be out due to a knee injury. Goedert suffered the injury in last week's win over the Tennessee Titans, and he is expected to be out for a few weeks.

But getting both Barkley and Smith back this week could be huge for the Eagles. Philadelphia has relied heavily on each over the years, and against the Bears, both will be counted on again.

Barkley left last week's game early with a stinger, only to come back shortly after. But the star running back has been practicing this week, showing some signs that he could be a full go for Monday.

With Barkley out, backup Tank Bigsby came into the game, providing a spark for the Eagles' offense. The team may look to Bigsby again to help ease Barkley back into the game plan against the Bears.

As for Smith, he had been dealing with a hamstring this week. Smith sat out of practice throughout the week as he has been trying to deal with the issue.

But he is ready to go, which should provide a big spark for the Eagles offensive attack. Smith has been the go-to receiver for quarterback Jalen Hurts, quieting any doubt around him being able to step up this year.

Smith has caught 13 passes for 170 yards and one touchdown through the first two games of the season for the Eagles. With A.J. Brown traded this offseason, the Eagles have needed Smith to become the top option in the passing game, and so far, he has excelled at that.

If the Eagles can take down the Bears, it would set them up nicely for a massive NFC showdown in Week 4 against the Los Angeles Rams. But for now, all the focus is on Chicago, with Philadelphia taking things one game at a time.
