The Atlanta Falcons running back has received his flowers.

The Atlanta Falcons have now seen their superstar running back recognized by the league for his huge performance on Thursday Night Football in the first victory of the season over the Green Bay Packers.

According to an announcement directly from the team, the NFL has named Bijan Robinson as the NFC's Offensive Player of the Week after he racked up more than 200 total yards including 194 on the ground as well as getting into the end zone twice.

Through three weeks, Robinson now leads the entire NFL in scrimmage yards with 467 of them after leading the league in this category last season. He has looked every bit of the superstar he's billed up to be -- and is now paid like -- to start the season, and by all indicators, it looks like it is going to be a very special campaign for No. 7 in Atlanta.

Head coach Kevin Stefanski as well as Robinson's teammates have offered immense praise for him throughout the offseason as well as now during the start of the campaign, and he has certainly lived up to the billing to this point. The Falcons needed every bit of Robinson's dominance on Thursday night as it was his legs that really broke the offense out of an early funk and allowed them to find their footing in the first game Michael Penix Jr. returned to the lineup.

A great running game is any quarterback's best friend, and Robinson gives Atlanta the opportunity to have exactly that. If he can continue this level of success for the remainder of the season, the Falcons are going to have a great chance in every single game they play.

Robinson has not shown any signs of slowing down now in his fourth year in the NFL with numbers that have improved exponentially with each passing season, and right now they are on pace to do that once again.

Clearly, the rest of the league recognizes the impact Robinson has on this offense as it relates to any other player in football, and this is why he's being honored with this award. In all likelihood, this may not be the final time it happens this year either after he received the award twice last season.

With a massive slate of games coming up for the Falcons, Robinson will have the chance to showcase his talents even further the rest of the year.
