The Atlanta Falcons are not extremely highly thought of across football.

The Atlanta Falcons are just a few weeks away from getting started with a season which fans hope is the true beginning of a new era for a franchise which has continuously fallen short over the last decade.

New head coach Kevin Stefanski does not inherit a roster that needs a complete rebuild and there are real pieces in place capable of carrying this team to success. This was shown in the offseason by Atlanta giving out extensions to numerous key offensive stars and will now build around them for the next half decade.

Despite the fact that the Falcons have one of the better rosters to be taken over by a new head coach, that does not mean others around the league believe in their ability to experience success in the first year. A statistic which was circling around social media revealed a significant lack of belief in Atlanta this year with it being revealed this team is actually the least wagered on in football when it comes to bets to win the Super Bowl.

Falcons Are Least Bet Team to Win Super Bowl This Year

The data that Atlanta has the least amount of Super Bowl bets on it does not necessarily impact their chances one way or another, but it does provide a fascinating glimpse as to where the public perception is on this organization.

Without a playoff appearance in close to a decade, even playing in the worst division in football is not enough to convince folks that the Falcons could make a run in the postseason if they do get there. A good bit of this likely has to do with the quarterback situation, and the health of Michael Penix Jr. combined with recent struggles the last couple years of Tua Tagovailoa do not inspire confidence.

Value wise, Atlanta does not have as long odds as a lot of teams who fans may throw long shot bets on, and that combined with an absolute gauntlet in the NFC all combine for the perfect storm for not a lot of money rolling in on the Falcons.

Ultimately, Atlanta needs to focus on what it takes every day to achieve their goals rather than the goals themselves, and while of course Super Bowl is the goal every year, this team is a long way away.

Perhaps the Falcons can prove some people wrong though and get a whole lot closer than anyone thinks they can.
