The Atlanta Falcons have themselves a good one.

The Atlanta Falcons earned an absolutely massive victory on Sunday afternoon over the previously undefeated San Francisco 49ers in a game that saw some heroic performances from Atlanta stars.

On a great day for Michael Penix Jr. and a game that will go down in Falcons history for Kendal Daniels on defense though, the Falcons showcased their new identity at full scale, and they owe that to their head coach. It's always nice to get a victory, but the best part of that may be the opportunity to see some footage from the locker room after the game.

Kevin Stefanski's speech to the team after the game highlighted all of the reasons why he was the right hire for this team and why Atlanta is in some very good hands with the veteran head coach.

Stefanski declared the win an "identity game" to a cheering locker room, and that playing fast and playing physical is going to win this team a whole lot of games. It's clear that he has this team fully bought in and believing that they can beat any opponent across from them on any given Sunday.

Belief is a dangerous thing, and it's maybe the biggest thing needed before the Falcons are going to be able to turn the fortunes of this franchise around from the results of the last decade. Stefanski was brought in to build this franchise from a perennial loser into a competitive force that opposing teams do not want to deal with.

While this was never going to be accomplished overnight, the results from Sunday and how he addressed the team after the win are evidence that things are absolutely moving in the right direction.

The Falcons have dealt with a whole lot over the last decade, and Stefanski is providing some hope that the next decade could be different. Keep winning games like that, and the entire fanbase is going to buy in and see the foundation that is being laid in this building right now.

Hopefully, the victory over San Francisco was just the latest sign that the culture of this organization is changing, and while it's going to take a whole lot more, it's an extremely encouraging sign here moving forward.

Stefanski is doing exactly what he was brought to Atlanta to do, and that alone should excite the fanbase.
