The Jacksonville Jaguars could definitely look to add to their roster as the NFL trade deadline approaches. Vice President Tony Boselli talked about he and General Manager James Gladstone's approach as the deadline nears.

The Jacksonville Jaguars (4-2) have carried over last season's momentum into this one, with head coach Liam Coen commanding one of the top teams in the AFC.

With two tight losses to the Denver Broncos and Houston Texans, the Jaguars are a couple plays away from being undefeated or 5-1, and maintain a commanding lead in the AFC South.

While there aren't too many weak spots on the roster, the trade deadline is approaching, and Jacksonville's front office has not been shy in the past.

On Thursday, Executive Vice President of Football Operations Tony Boselli was asked about whether the team is looking to make any moves.

"We are always going to try to improve," Boselli said. :Now that might just be on the practice field every day with the guys we got and we’re going to get better."

Last season, the Jaguars pulled off one of the most lopsided deals of the year around this same time, acquiring Jakobi Meyers from the Las Vegas Raiders.

Considering what Meyers brings to the room and his increased production over the past few years, parting with a fourth and sixth rounder seems like a big win for the Jaguars.

Jacksonville was clearly pleased with Meyers, rewarding the former NC State standout with a three-year, $60 million contract extension in December.

Throughout the opening six weeks, Meyers has been starting quarterback Trevor Lawrence's No. 2 receiver, stepping up during Brian Thomas Jr.'s struggles.

Meyers has recorded 20 catches for 285 yards and two touchdowns thus far, averaging over 14 yards per reception.

He is also coming off of his strongest performance of the season, hauling in five catches for 83 yards against the Texans on Sunday.

While the receiving corps will likely be left alone this season, making a similar-type move elsewhere could be in the cards for Jacksonville.

Boselli endorsed his fellow decision-maker, General Manager James Gladstone, for his ability to identify needs.

"James does an outstanding job of understanding the opportunities we have as an organization to add players if it’s the right thing to do," Boselli added.

Gladstone and head coach Liam Coen have brought new life to a Jaguars team that was coasting in neutral prior to their hirings.

As the season progresses, do not be surprised if Gladstone looks to add another piece to make a push for a potential No. 1 seed in the AFC.

An additional edge rusher or safety could be a focus prior to the NFL trade market closing on Tuesday, Nov. 10 at 4:00 p.m.
