The New York Jets are looking to get back to a .500 record this week against the Patriots.

The New York Jets will be taking on the New England Patriots this weekend, looking to get back to a .500 record.

New York is coming off a big win over the Cleveland Browns last week, in what ended up being a sloppy game all around. With the rain coming down, the Jets found a way to overcome the odds, grabbing a late lead to seal the victory.

The Jets now hold a record of 2-3 on the season, but the team has been competitive in each game this year. New York seems to be building something under head coach Aaron Glenn, even if it's taking some time to come together.

This matchup against the Patriots could be a measuring stick for New York, especially with the game being played on the road. New England comes in with a record of 3-2, having won two straight in impressive fashion.

After a slow start to the season, the Patriots have seemed to get it together, but the Jets will try to knock them down a peg. New York is coming in with a lot of confidence, even if the vast majority outside the locker room don't believe in the team.

Entering the game, Bleacher Report experts all predicted the game, giving predictions on who will win. Analysts Gary Davenport, Brad Gagnon, Kris Knox, Moe Moton, Brent Sobleski, Wes O'Donnell and Ian Hanford all made picks, with five of seven taking New England.

Only Hanford and Sobleski took the Jets, showing a lack of belief in New York heading into this game. This could be due to the game being played in New England, but also because the Patriots have started to play much better of late.

New York will need to make sure they limit turnovers in this game, with the Patriots defense looking stronger over the last few weeks. The Jets have hurt themselves at times this season, and this is one area where they can clean things up.

If the Jets can get a win over an AFC East team, it could go a long way for this team to reach the lofty goals they have set. But historically, New York hasn't been good against its division rivals, which could cause some trouble for them.

Nonetheless, the Jets will be fired up entering this game, looking to make a massive statement against one of its rivals. Kickoff for the game will take place at 10:00 a.m. PT/1:00 p.m. ET from Gillette Stadium in Foxborough.
