Jets HC Aaron Glenn Rules Out Six Players For Week 18 Matchup Against Bills cover image

New York Jets' head coach Aaron Glenn ruled out six players for the team's Week 18 matchup against the Buffalo Bills.

With one week left in the 2025 NFL regular season, the New York Jets and head coach Aaron Glenn will look to finish the year on a high note against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday. However, the struggling franchise will be without multiple starters for the AFC East battle.

When asked about the injury report on Friday, Glenn ruled out six players for the upcoming contest, including rookie tight end Mason Taylor and cornerback Qwan’tez Stiggers:

  • TE Mason Taylor
  • TE Jelani Woods
  • RB Isaiah Davis
  • IOL Xavier Newman
  • CB Qwan’tez Stiggers
  • CB Michael Clemons

Taylor, who was the team’s second-round selection in the 2025 NFL Draft, will miss his fourth straight game with a neck injury. The rookie tight end from LSU finished his first season in New York with 369 receiving yards and one touchdown on 44 catches.

In addition to Taylor, fellow tight end Jelani Woods will also be out due to a hamstring injury.

With both pass catchers ruled out for the upcoming matchup against the Bills, the Jets will now turn to Jeremy Ruckert and Stone Smartt to lead the tight ends on Sunday.

Another injury that could hinder New York's offensive efforts in Week 18 is that of running back Isaiah Davis.

The former 2024 fifth-round pick suffered a concussion against the Patriots, which will end his second season with the Jets. Davis finished the year with 236 rushing yards and one touchdown on 43 carries, as he played a key role as the “breather back” for Breece Hall in 2025.

On defense, the Jets’ secondary unit will be depleted for the team’s final matchup of the season, with Qwan’tez Stiggers being ruled out on Friday. The second-year defensive back suffered a knee injury in Week 17 after one of his best performances of the 2025 season.

To make matters worse for Glenn’s defense, cornerback Brandon Stephens is listed as questionable for the season finale. In the scenario where both Stiggers and Stephens are ruled out, look for veteran defensive backs Tre Brown and Keidron Smith to fill in as the boundary corners on Sunday.
