Running back Breece Hall hopes says a rebuilt New York Jets roster will finally let him reach his potential.

The road has been rocky for running back Breece Hall amid his time on the New York Jets. In five seasons, he’s had 11 different quarterbacks, five offensive coordinators, and three head coaches. And in that time span, he’s only seen 22 wins in a Jets uniform. Despite that, Hall foresees his 2025-26 campaign as his “best season” yet. It’s hard to imagine, but could it really be that New York’s rebuilt roster might finally deliver?

For Hall’s case, he hasn’t finished higher than 13th in the league in rushing yards in a season. However, everyone in a losing environment suffers; none of it is in a vacuum. Hall’s play is largely contingent on playcalling, the play of the offensive line in front of him, and situational football first and foremost. With the Jets having to come from behind in so many situations, that usually leads to a heavy passing attack to play catch up. While he’s not atop the league in stats, he has a longer standing case. Since 2022, Hall is 15th in rush yards among top running backs in the league with 3,398. However, he has the lowest winning percentage (.324) by a wide margin.

To read more about why this year might be the most electric for Hall yet, here’s the full story from Jets Roundtable writer Dylan Feltovich.

Hall signed a three-year, $43.5 million deal this offseason, which was the fourth largest in average annual value for a running back at the time, but has since been eclipsed by De’Von Achane’s extension to sit in fifth. Hall will look to show off why that extension was earned by hopefully returning to his dual threat production that saw him rack in 133 receptions from 2023-2024.
