The New York Giants are already feeling the effects of newly-hired head coach John Harbaugh prior to the 2026 NFL offseason.
According to Connor Hughes on Monday, the Giants could be in the running for multiple Baltimore Ravens in free agency after the team’s recent decision to hire Harbaugh this offseason.
Harbaugh, who spent the last 18 seasons with the Ravens’ organization, was well-respected by his players throughout his tenure in Baltimore. He would go on to finish with an 180-113 record in the regular season, while also maintaining a 13-11 record in the postseason with one Super Bowl win.
One of the names that Hughes highlighted was Ravens’ center Tyler Linderbaum, who has put together a terrific NFL career.
The 2022 first-round pick has quickly become one of the best centers in the league, while also being named to three Pro Bowl teams during his career. With current Giants’ center, John Michael Schmitz Jr., coming off a poor 2025 season, adding Linderbaum would be perfect for New York’s offensive line.
Another name to keep an eye on for in free agency is tight end Isaiah Likely, who is also set to hit the free market this offseason.
Despite being the backup to Mark Andrews for a majority of his career, Likely has proven to be an outstanding weapon through his first four seasons, racking up 135 catches for 1,568 yards and 15 touchdowns. Depending on whether the Giants hire former Baltimore offensive coordinator Todd Monken, signing the 25-year-old tight end would give New York a second option for quarterback Jaxson Dart in 2026.
Unfortunately for general manager Joe Schoen, the franchise’s current cap situation could hamper any free agent signings this offseason.
The Giants have roughly $20 million in cap space heading into the free agency period, with the number potentially reaching around $40 million depending on whether Schoen can restructure multiple deals.
However, New York is set to lose wide receiver Wan’Dale Robinson and cornerback Cordale Flott this offseason.
