Lambeau Field sets the stage for a high-stakes shootout as Jordan Love’s surging Green Bay Packers aim to stifle Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys' explosive offense in a premier Sunday night clash.
On paper, the Green Bay Packers look to be the better team. At the very least, they have several advantages over the Dallas Cowboys in their upcoming Sunday Night Football matchup in Week 6.
First, they're the home team. A night game at Lambeau Field can create a pretty tough environment. That likely accounts for the odds that say Packers -1.5.
The Packers also have a ton of momentum after throttling the Chicago Bears in Week 5, 31-7. Jordan Love threw for 367 yards and two touchdowns in that game with no interceptions. The Packers' defense forced five turnovers.
Meanwhile, Dallas is coming off a 24-16 home loss to the previously winless Tampa Bay Buccaneers and undrafted rookie quarterback Jalon Daniels.
This could be a case of two teams traveling in two opposite directions in the power rankings.
And yet, the Packers know that the Cowboys can be extremely dangerous in this game, and that starts and ends with long-time quarterback Dak Prescott.
"He can make any throw, and he knows that he can make any throw," Green Bay safety Evan Williams said of Prescott, according to Mike Spofford of the team website. "Has a really live arm, and with the weapons he got, he trusts them on any opportunity."
The weapons are real.
Wideout CeeDee Lamb has caught 39 passes for 507 yards and four touchdowns so far this season. Tight end Jake Ferguson has caught three touchdown passes. Behind Prescott in the backfield is running back Javonte Williams, who has rushed 74 times for 276 yards and six touchdowns.
The Cowboys are averaging 27.6 points per game compared to 20.8 points per game from the Packers.
Prescott, in his 11th season, is the engine that keeps Dallas' offense running, though. He's fifth in the NFL in passing yards (1,381) and eight in passing touchdowns with nine. He'll be looking across the field at a quarterback in Love who is third in the league in yards (1,408) and tied for fifth in touchdown passes (10).

When he's protected and in "the zone", he's an MVP candidate.
Love can lead the Packers in a shootout if he has to, especially with Christian Watson and Matthew Golden both playing great at receiver.
It's clear the defense feels it has a responsibility to put the clamps on Dallas' offense, though. They've got a ton of respect for what Prescott and Dallas can do, but that respect has led to a focus.
"You gotta attack these opportunities," said linebacker Zaire Franklin. "If you're hesitant in any facet, that's when you get exploited as a defense. When you're unsure or questionable about what you're going to do, that's when explosives start to show up and things can go downhill in a hurry.
"It's up to you to stop it. Can't shy away from it."
