Despite the Green Bay Packers recent momentum and home-field advantage, analytics favor a struggling Dallas Cowboys squad to pull off a primetime upset.

For the first time this season, the Green Bay Packers have back-to-back home games.

Packers fans still haven't forgotten about their dreadful 35-14 loss to the Atlanta Falcons in Week 3 when their home opener was on Thursday Night Football.

Here in Week 6, the Dallas Cowboys are set to come to town in a rematch of last year's Sunday Night Football matchup that ended in a wild 40-40 tie.

Lambeau Field's second night game of the year won't feature Micah Parsons on the field against his former team, but it features a 3-2 Packers team that just ran through their greatest rival, the Chicago Bears, 31-7.

Green Bay has been searching for a signature, two-plus-score victory for quite some time, and they got exactly that in Week 5 while the Cowboys were stunned at home by a previously winless Tampa Bay Buccaneers team.

The 2-3 Cowboys have wins over the Washington Commanders and Houston Texans, but it's worth noting those two teams are a combined 2-7-1.

Knowing all of that, ESPN Analytics still believes the Cowboys will come to Green Bay and defeat the Packers.

Cowboys given 52.5% chance to win

According to ESPN Analytics, the Packers are given only a 47.1% chance to win this game. Those odds are eye-opening, to say the least, especially since the Packers have everything riding on them while the Cowboys just got exposed by a team Green Bay beat on the road the week prior.

This begins a potentially season-defining stretch for the Cowboys as they head to Green Bay and Philadelphia for a pair of primetime matchups.

Sitting at 2-3 isn't ideal, but the Cowboys haven't won or lost two consecutive games all year. Green Bay has a chance to hand them back-to-back losses for the first time since they lost three straight in Weeks 14-16 last season.

After tying with the Packers a year ago, Dallas went just 2-3 heading into their bye week before they won three straight.

Here in 2026, this is a great tune-up game for Green Bay, a team that heads to Detroit in Week 7. After the tie last season, the Packers enjoyed their bye week and then won three straight. This year, they don't have a bye until Week 11.

Predicting a Cowboys victory seems bold, to say the least, but ESPN's analytics department, in their eyes, has enough to justify Dallas picking up their biggest win of the year in a game that could push Green Bay to a 1-2 home record this season.
