Micah Parsons was just fully cleared to return for the Packers.

The Green Bay Packers will be heading into Week 9 of the NFL season ready to get another win over the New England Patriots.

After a slow start to the season, Green Bay has started to put everything together on the field, leading to hope for the playoffs. The Packers hold a record of 5-3 on the season, and the defense is about to get a massive addition to it.

Star pass rusher Micah Parsons, who has been out all season while recovering from a torn ACL that he suffered last year, was just fully cleared to return. The Packers have opened a 21-day window for him to practice, giving thought to him getting back with the team very soon.

Parsons had been targeting the game before Thanksgiving against the Los Angeles Rams as his return date, but that remains to be seen. But with the window of practice now opening, Parsons could come back any week, as long as he is healthy enough to play.

While the Packers haven't announced when Parsons will be back on the field, that didn't stop the star pass rusher from discussing his return. Parsons is excited for November football to then lead into December, to then lead into the playoffs.

The star also sent a message out to the entire league around his return, saying to let the show begin. Parsons has been out since he tore the ACL toward the end of the 2025 season against the Denver Broncos.

Green Bay has been patiently waiting for Parsons to get back on the field, proving a major spark to the unit. Parsons was a limited participant in practice for the Packers on Thursday as he ramps back into game shape.

The last thing that either side wants to do is have Parsons get back too soon, just for him to re-injure himself. Green Bay will remain patient with Parsons as he recovers fully, giving him ample time over this 21-day window to get back.

But once he does return, Parsons has been itching to get back on the field to help this Packers team out. Green Bay has done well to stay afloat without him, but he could be the biggest addition to any roster around the NFL at this point in the season.

Now it's all a waiting game for Parsons, but the Packers should get their star pass rusher back on the field sooner rather than later.
