The Green Bay Packers are playing the Dallas Cowboys on SNF this week.
The Green Bay Packers are entering into Week 6 of the NFL season ready to keep things rolling on the field.
After a slow start to the year, Green Bay has now won two straight games, improving their record to 3-2 on the season. The Packers took apart the rival Chicago Bears a week ago, putting it all together for the first time in 2026.
As the Packers get ready for a Sunday Night Football showdown with the Dallas Cowboys, the team is expecting a dogfight. Dallas is coming off a tough loss last week, and they hold a record of 2-3 on the season.
These two teams know each other well from all the battles over the years, and the game is set up well for the winner to make a big statement. Green Bay will look to keep its improved play from the previous few weeks going.
Before the game kicks off, NFL.com experts Jeremy Bergman, Brooke Cersosimo, Gennaro Filice, Bobby Kownack, and Dan Parr all made picks. Only Kownack went against Green Bay, with the others having faith in the Packers to hold serve at home against Dallas.
One reason for the improvement from the Packers has been the play of the offensive line, protecting quarterback Jordan Love. This has also helped Green Bay get the rushing game going a little bit, which has helped the passing attack.
Love has done all he can to keep this team afloat amid all the injuries and inconsistency from the offensive line. But the veteran does need some help, and he got that against the Bears, leading to the major win.
Wide receivers Christian Watson and Matthew Golden stepped up against the Bears, spacing the field out for Love. If they can do this again this week against a shaky Cowboys defense, it could offer the Packers a real chance to get the win.
Dallas has struggled to do much of anything on defense this year, and the Packers will try to exploit this throughout the game. Green Bay has the weapons to make life very tough on the Cowboys, and this is a game that the Packers need to have.
The Packers have goals of winning the Super Bowl this season, but they still have a lot to clean up to get there. But this team is building toward something and a win over Dallas could help them get more confidence for the remainder of the season.
