Green Bay Packers star Jordan Love was ranked the ninth-best QB in the NFL by Bleacher Report's scouting department.
Love is one of only three QBs to throw 80-plus touchdown passes with fewer than 30 interceptions since 2023. The other two? Reigning MVP Matthew Stafford of the Los Angeles Rams and two-time MVP Lamar Jackson of the Baltimore Ravens.
"Love is one of the more efficient passers in the NFL," Bleacher Repot wrote. "He is coming off another strong season, his third consecutive season over 3,300 yards. He threw for 3,381 yards with 23 touchdowns, six interceptions, completing 66.3% of his passes, and a passer rating of 101.2.
"Love continues to play at a highly efficient level and pace for the Packers. His accuracy, footwork, and ball placement are very good and getting better. He cut down on his interceptions compared to 2024, but there are head-scratching decisions where he tests heavily targeted weapons. He's on the cusp of elevating his game, but postseason moments and success will dictate where he ultimately lands among his peers."
Love has turned into a solid QB under Matt LaFleur, but the Packers aren't paying Love to be solid. They are paying him to be a superstar. Love signed a four-year, $220 million contract with Green Bay in 2024.
The 27-year-old Love finished last season with 3,381 passing yards and 23 passing touchdowns while completing 66.3% of his passes. The Packers went 9-7-1 and lost to the Chicago Bears in the wild-card round of the 2026 NFL playoffs.
Love enters next season with 11,535 passing yards and 83 passing touchdowns. He's 27-20-1 as a starter.
Love recently revealed the "biggest thing" he's trying to improve in his game. The gunslinger is focused on his footwork in 2026.
"My biggest thing that I've noticed since I got back is just my feet in the pocket, trying to be as smooth and consistent as possible," Love said. "When I go through my reads, get into my hitches and not getting antsy, not getting to that point where you're trying to move through the pocket too fast. Just staying calm, staying relaxed, move through my reads. If I've gotta move around in the pocket, keeping those movements pretty tight and not kind of running into where guys might be peeling off and able to hit you.
"So just really trying to focus on my feet, my pocket movements. Obviously I think all those things are tied to accuracy and just the timing of routes and things like that, so just trying to be as dialed in as possible. That's the biggest thing I've been trying to work on so far."
The Packers open the 2026 season against the Minnesota Vikings. It's time for Love to play like an MVP, especially since Micah Parsons will miss the start of the campaign recovering from his ACL tear.
