Carolina Panthers wide receiver Jalen Coker discussed his injury after the Week 3 loss to the Cleveland Browns.

The Carolina Panthers had a big opportunity to get over .500 for the first time this season when they traveled to Cleveland to play the Browns. Fresh off a win over Atlanta, the Panthers were hoping to build some momentum and take home a big win.

But with the Panthers leading 18-13 late, they allowed a game-winning drive from Deshaun Watson as the Browns stunned Carolina for a 20-18 win. To make matters worse, the Panthers lost a handful of key players in the game.

Among those players was wide receiver Jalen Coker. The 24-year-old Coker is having a good season so far in Carolina. He left the game with a quad injury after he battled all week with an ankle injury.

Coker was questionable throughout the week, but he suited up on Sunday before leaving the game and being ruled out. After the game, Coker met the media and downplayed his injury, calling it "nothing crazy".  Instead, he focused on the frustrations of his team losing the game to Cleveland.

The good news is that it doesn't sound like Coker has a major injury and he didn't return as precaution.

The wide receiver is having a good season so far, and before he got hurt, he caught two passes. With Denzel Ward on Tetairoa McMillan, the Panthers had hoped to get more looks for Coker in the game.  That didn't happen. But Brycen Tremayne took that role, leading the Panthers with 82 receiving yards in the game.

Coker's status will certainly be monitored throughout the week.

Panthers suffer trio of injuries in Sunday's loss

Coker wasn't the only player who left the game and didn't return. On the defensive side, corner backs Jaycee Horn and Mike Jackson were both ruled out and didn't return.

The duo are the two starters on that side of the ball and with Carolina missing them, it's a tough loss for the defense. Horn left with a quad injury, while Jackson left with a hamstring injury in Week 3.

Dave Canales did say that Jackson wasn't close to returning to the game. But he did not provide much on the injury to Horn. The hope is that both will be available for this upcoming week of practice.

The Panthers will return home for Week 4 as they will host the Detroit Lions on Sunday Night Football. It will be a big early-season game in the NFC.
