Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua is expected to return, despite being limited.
Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay spoke to the media on Wednesday and broke down the injury report, as is his usual practice.
McVay stated that safety Kamren Kinchens, wide receiver Puka Nacua, cornerback Josh Wallace, and linebacker Nate Landman were all limited on Wednesday. Despite Nacua still remaining limited, he is expected to play in Week 4.
McVay continued the injury updates with those who did not practice.
Tight ends Colby Parkinson and Terrence Ferguson, cornerback Jaylen Watson, defensive end Aaron Donald, and wide receiver Davante Adams all did not practice.
Parkinson and Ferguson both suffered injuries in Week 3, as did Watson.
McVay offered more updates on Donald, stating that he is dealing with a back injury. When pressed further, the Rams head coach said he did not want to say whether or not the defensive end would miss the game.
"I wouldn't want to say anything, you know, of that nature yet, but uh I think um you know, the back's a little bit sore," McVay said of Donald.
Losing Donald would be a big hit to a Rams defense that has not quite emerged in the manner that everyone expected it to.
Adams missing practice is also curious, though his absence could have simply been a vet rest day.
McVay also spoke about Nacua, saying that he "expects" that the receiver will be back on the field against the Philadelphia Eagles.
"I do, yeah," McVay said. "Had a good workout on uh on Sunday and um you know good walkthrough just now and so um excited to be able to have him back."
Nacua was initially injured during training camp, as he suffered a groin injury or psoas injury. This turned into a hip ailment, that has now kept him out of both Week 2 and Week 3.
With Nacua out, Adams stepped up in a big way. The veteran receiver now has 332 yards and two touchdowns over the past two games.
Now, the Rams offense may experience more stabalization with Nacua and Adams back out on the field together.
Los Angeles is currently 1-2, and McVay stated emphatically that he is not concerned with what happened against the Denver Broncos and is looking towards Week 4 and the Eagles.
Surprisingly, the head coach did receive word from the league and the rules committee that the controversial pass interference call on cornerback Josh Wallace should not have been called. Regardless, that call and loss are now in the past, and the Rams are looking toward rebounding and getting a win under their belt against the Eagles.
Not having Donald out on the field will be a big hit, if that is the case. However, getting Nacua back will also be a huge boost for the offense.
