The Los Angeles Rams released their second injury report, and tight end Davis Allen remains out.
The Los Angeles Rams have released their second injury report, and tight end Davis Allen has missed a second straight practice. However, head coach Sean McVay stated that its merely a precaution as opposed to be something significant.
Allen remains the only worry on the list.
The full injry report is as follows:
| Player | Position | Injury | Wed | Thu | Fri | Game Status |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Omar Speights | ILB | Knee | FP | FP | UNSPECIFIED | |
| Nate Landman | ILB | Wrist/Shoulder | LP | LP | UNSPECIFIED | |
| Alex Bachman | WR | Wrist | LP | FP | UNSPECIFIED | |
| Colby Parkinson | TE | Shoulder | LP | LP | UNSPECIFIED | |
| Josh Wallace | CB | Shoulder | LP | LP | UNSPECIFIED | |
| Davis Allen | TE | Foot | DNP | DNP | UNSPECIFIED | |
| Keagen Trost | OL | Hamstring | (-) | FP | UNSPECIFIED | |
| Kam Curl | S | Ankle | (-) | LP | UNSPECIFIED |
As stated, Allen has remained out due to a foot injury. McVay said during media availability that he is "feeling good" and they are merely "erring on the side of caution."
McVay did not outright state that Allen would be out there for the game, but the third and final injury report could reveal more about his chances to play.
Linebacker Nate Landman (shoulder), tight end Colby Parkinson (shoulder), and cornerback Josh Wallace (shoulder) also remained limited through Thursday's practice.
Linebacker Omar Speights (knee) was a full participant, as were Keagen Trost (hamstring), and wide receiver Alex Bachman (wrist).
McVay also commented on Trost, stating that the rookie lineman will test out his ability to suit up for the game. Considering he has been out of action since the first game of preseason, he may need time to ramp back up to football activities.
Safety Kam Curl was also added to the injury report on Thursday, as he was limited due to an ankle injury.
The Rams do not have a ton of worries on their injury report and could be mostly at full strength when they face the Arizona Cardinals in Week 6. However, they will be without one important player.
Left tackle Alaric Jackson will be out for the game after being suspended. The lineman was involved in an incident on Monday night after the loss to the Buffalo Bills, where he punched Bills defender Bradley Chubb in the face.
That punch led to a two-game suspension for Jackson, which was officially reduced to one game after a successful appeal.
With Jackson out, the Rams will rely on David Quessenberry to start at the left tackle position. It may have been Trost stepping in, but he might also need more time to ramp up and be available.
Should Trost make it into the game, he would presumably act as the backup tackle to Quessenberry, should anything happen to the veteran.
The Rams are currently 2-3 this season and need a big win on Sunday. Falling to 2-4 might point to some bigger issues with the team and their chances of truly capturing the NFC West title at the end of the season.
