The Los Angeles Rams continue to be hit with injuries, as wide receiver Puka Nacua suffered a calf injury during practice.
The Los Angeles Rams continue to have injury issues, as the team has now been hit with a concerning ailment to wide receiver Puka Nacua.
Per reports, Nacua had to exit practice early due to a calf injury, and he has not been added to the report.
The full second Week 7 injury report:
| Player | Position | Injury | Wed | Thu | Fri | Game Status |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Trent McDuffie | CB | Groin | DNP | DNP | UNSPECIFIED | |
| Nate Landman | ILB | Concussion | DNP | DNP | UNSPECIFIED | |
| Josh Wallace | CB | Calf | FP | FP | UNSPECIFIED | |
| Colby Parkinson | TE | Shoulder | FP | FP | UNSPECIFIED | |
| Puka Nacua | WR | Calf | (-) | LP | UNSPECIFIED |
The silver lining for the Rams is that their injury report is not long. However, there are several key players who are now set to add the multiple that are now out for multiple weeks or for most of the season.
As stated above, Nacua was added to the injury report after suffering a calf injury. He was limited on Thursday. Should he miss practice on Friday, his chances of suiting up against the Las Vegas Raiders might be tough.
There are two additional concerns on the Rams second injury report.
Cornerback Trent McDuffie has now missed a second straight practice, and is tracking to not being able to play against the Raiders.
McDuffie suffered a fully pulled groin on Thursday last week ahead of Week 6, which led to him missing practice on Friday. He was then ruled out of the Arizona Cardinals game.
Linebacker Nate Landman suffered a concussion during the Cardinals game, and he has since missed practice on Wednesday and Thursday.
Landman is in the concussion protocol and is unlikely to be able to play on Sunday as well. Players in the concussion protocol have to pass certain benchmarks to be able to take the field again, and he has clearly not passed those benchmarks.
Cornerback Josh Wallace and tight end Colby Parkinson were both full participants.
With the potential that McDuffie, Landman, and Nacua will be out, they will join tight end Terrance Ferguson, Myles Garrett, Poona Ford, Kobie Turner, Davante Adams, and Blake Grupe in missing Week 6.
Ferguson and Garrett have not yet returned from IR.
Ferguson is dealing with an ankle injury, while Garrett has not returned yet due to undergoing knee surgery.
Ford suffered a ruptured triceps and will be out for the rest of the season. Grupe is also out for the season after suffering a torn ACL.
Adams suffered a ruptured hamstring, and he is expected to miss six to 10 weeks.
Turner was added to IR after suffering a groin injury that will keep him out for four to six weeks.
The Rams are heavily injured, and the hits keep coming. Despite those injuries, the team must find a way to beat the Raiders.
Los Angeles quarterback Matthew Stafford said he will step up to band the team together, but time will tell if he can do enough to lead this organization to some bounce-back wins.
