Baltimore Ravens head coach Jesse Minter offered an update on Lamar Jackson after he missed practice.

Baltimore Ravens head coach Jesse Minter spoke to the media on Wednesday to offer some major updates on injured players. One such update was about quarterback Lamar Jackson.

Jackson was not out there at practice on Wednesday, and Minter revealed what the passer's status is ahead of Week 6.

Per Minter, Jackson is "day-to-day."

Jackson suffered a sprained ankle at the end of the second quarter in Week 4. Despite Minter saying the quarterback could have made it back on the field, the Ravens put in Tyler Huntley.

Huntley did not manage to score any points in the second half against the Tennessee Titans in Week 4, but he more than made up for that in Week 5. The backup pulled off a huge fourth-quarter comeback, which included an overtime touchdown that secured the win for Baltimore.

If Jackson cannot play in Week 6, Huntley will once again take the helm. Jackson has not been ruled out yet and Minter stated that he will be ready when he is ready.

"Yeah, I think its definitely day-to-day. I think a lot of times those times right when they happen you're not sure. As you gather information and look at stuff, but again to Lamar's credit, he's working his butt off and doing everything he can to be out here. When he's able to be then he will," Minter said.

Minter stated that Jackson is "day-to-day," meaning that he could return to practice on Thursday or even Friday, which will ultimately determine his chances of playing against the Cleveland Browns.

If Jackson is not healthy, he will simply not play. The Ravens need to be careful with the quarterback and keep him off the field if he is not ready, which does not seem like something that Minter would do.

Ravens Additional Injury Update

Minter also provided some major updates on several other key starters who are dealing with injuries.

Outside linebacker Trey Hendrickson returned to practice, and Minter stated that he should not be limited this week or in Week 6. Hendrickson will wear a brace on the healing hand, and the Ravens' head coach mentioned that he had done something similar before undergoing the procedure to fix the broken finger.

Center Cam Jurgens is progressing through concussion protocol, but Minter did not give a definitive answer on his ability to play in Week 6. He has to pass certain thresholds and be cleared by medical staff, which is what Baltimore is waiting for.

If Jurgens is ruled out again, it will be rookie guard Vega Ioane taking over yet again at center.

Rookie receiver Ja'Kobi Lane also returned to practice, and Minter stated that they are excited to get him back out there. Lane may or may not play against the Browns.

Fellow wide receiver Rashod Bateman is also dealing with a minor injury and was not present at practice during media coverage. Minter stated that he should have no issues playing on Sunday.
