A look at the takeaways from the Baltimore Ravens' Week 4 win, which was chock-full of injuries.

The Baltimore Ravens have moved to 3-1 on the season, but it came at a high cost. Multiple starters were injured throughout the game, leading to some struggles to close out the game.

Quarterback Lamar Jackson could not finish the game after the first half, leading to a string of punts.

Here are the instant takeaways from the Ravens Week 4 victory.

Injuries Run Rampant

As mentioned above, the biggest injury was to Jackson. The quarterback was hit low in the waning seconds of the second quarter, leading to an ankle injury.

Featured stories

When the second half started, Jackson was out on the field in uniform, but he did not take the field again. It was backup Tyler Huntley who took over.

Earlier in the game, cornerback Marlon Humphrey was questionable to return after suffering a calf injury, and then he was ruled out for that injury.

Joining Humphrey was right guard Andrew Vorhees, who took over as starter, with Vega Ioane stepping in as center. Vorhees suffered a foot injury and was ruled out, leading to Emory Jones Jr. taking over.

Tight end Durham Smythe also suffered an Achilles injury and had to be assisted off the field. There is no information about Smythe, but things looked serious.

Ravens Offense Struggles Without Lamar Jackson

With Jackson being out with an ankle injury, it was Huntley stepping in. The score at halftime was 24-7, which is likely why Jackson was not asked to return.

The issue is that the offense struggled mightily with Huntley running things. The backup could simply not operate the offense in a way that led to more points. It was a series of punts that followed Jackson's exit.

Penalties Once Again Become a Problem

There has been a huge issue with the Ravens thus far in 2026. Penalties have run rampant, and Week 4 once again proved that the team has some major discipline issues.

The Ravens committed 13 penalties for 131 penalty yards through four quarters. That is simply not something that should be happening.

A "better" team would take full advantage of an undisciplined team. Committing double-digit penalties is something that championship teams do not do. Baltimore needs to find a way to play cleaner.

Tyler Loop Knocks in 64-Yarder

After Ravens kicker Tyler Loop knocked in a game-winning 54-yarder to defeat the Cowboys in Brazil, he showcased some strong kicking power against the Titans.

Loop knocked in a 64-yarder to end the second quarter. The kicked helped push the Ravens ahead by 14 points.

Loop did miss a 40-yard field goal later in the fourth quarter that would have further padded the score.
