Everyone is on the Rams bandwagon for 2026, but we can't discount the Super Bowl champs in the equation, can we?
As odd as it sounds, the Seattle Seahawks, who are Super Bowl champions by the way, have been largely forgotten in the odds to win it all in 2026.
The NFC West rivals, the Los Angeles Rams, thanks to the additions of Myles Garrett, Aaron Donald, Jaylen Watson, and Trent McDuffie, have been getting all the plaudits.
In fact, there are some who think we should just hand the Rams the title before a single down has even been played.
Yes, the Rams are loaded, but we can't forget about the other teams in the NFC and the Rams' division, especially the Seahawks.
It is a little bizarre, actually, that the Seahawks are being completely forgotten in the Super Bowl conversation despite winning it last year, but that is the Rams' hype train for you.
But for analyst Peter Schrager, who was on the Pat McAfee Show, he doesn't like the Rams hype, especially with the Seahawks still poised to be a big problem in 2026.
"I have never seen a team have the hype and the bandwagon as full, having lost two of three games to an opponent in their division in the history of this sport, the Rams' hype and bandwagon is out of control," Schrager said.
"The Seahawks are sitting up there very quietly watching as everyone else talks about the Rams. Let's not forget about those Seattle Seahawks and their mad man of a coach."
So the Rams are the media darlings right now, while Mike Macdonald's Seahawks are the forgotten team in the Super Bowl race.
And in truth, that is probably how they like it.
All the attention on the Rams allows the Seahawks, as they have done all offseason, to go about their business in the shadows as they prepare to defend their title.
We know that the offseason is all about predictions and expectations, and most of the time, teams fall short of that. Of course, other times they don't, but there are a lot of people already crowning the Rams as champs...we are in September.
Don't forget about those Seahawks folks, and it is clear Schrager isn't either.
