Price has been consistent this offseason, and he's trying to fit in wherever he can in Fleury's offense.
Seattle Seahawks rookie running back Jadarian Price has had a good start to life in the NFL as training camp has seen him work on his game in an attempt to see plenty of snaps in Brian Fleury's offense.
Granted, as a first-round rookie, a lot of snaps are likely in Price's future anyway, but he's got to earn them.
Seen more as a running back than a pass-catching back, Price has been working on that element of his game under Fleury, given his time in San Francisco.
But as training camp rolls on, Price is starting to get a better feel for what Fleury and the Seahawks want out of him, and stacking good days of production is just what the doctor ordered.
Speaking on Seattle Sports with Brock and Salk, Price was asked whether the Seahawks coaching staff had asked him which plays he likes to run and which he doesn't, and he gave a good response.
"No, I feel like they just saw what I could do in college and had a lot of trust, like a lot of faith in my abilities that I could just fit right into the offense," Price said. "That's kind of how my mindset is now. I'm just fitting in where I fit in."
And it is fair to say that Price is fitting in rather well in the early days in camp, but the grind is far from over.
We know that Zach Charbonnet, if he were healthy, would likely be the starter, but with Zach recovering from an ACL injury, it has given Price more reps than he otherwise wouldn't have had in camp.
And he's making the most of them, with head coach Mike Macdonald impressed with Price's dual-threat ability, something we didn't see a lot of at Notre Dame.
But as part of Fleury's offense, we know that the running backs are going to have a big role both as runners and pass-catchers.
George Holani is another back who has captured the eye, with him and Price likely to be the top two on the depth chart as the season begins.
But right now, for Price, he's just putting his head down and is working as hard as he can to make the best of his rookie season.
And he's fitting in rather well.
