The Seahawks will be facing Walker for the first time since his move, and Macdonald is ready for the challenge.

The Seattle Seahawks know better than anybody the threat that Kansas City Chiefs running back Kenneth Walker presents.

After four years as a Seahawk before his move to the Chiefs this offseason, Walker has hit the ground running, to the point that he looks like the best running back in football.

Through six games, Walker already has 665 yards and 6 TDs and is the driving force behind Andy Reid's team. Oh, and he's averaging 6.3 yards per clip too.

Totals of 173, 117, 70, 177, and 128 have seen Walker be a star out of the backfield for the Chiefs, and give Patrick Mahomes the same thing Sam Darnold had last season, a quality run game to take the pressure off the passing attack.

But now Walker is on the other side, and it will be up to Mike Macdonald's defense to try to curtail his influence.

Seattle's run defense has seen just two games where they've given up 100 yards on the ground, ironically, games they have won.

And Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald knows the sort of form Walker is in.

"Off to a tremendous start, stats back it up, tape definitely backs it up, he's playing great football," Macdonald said.

So, the Seahawks know that stopping Walker is likely going to have to be the No. 1 job, which is a little odd considering Patrick Mahomes is the quarterback, but the Chiefs now have a genuine back who can tear teams apart.

In fact, opposing defenses almost have to choose between stopping Walker and allowing Mahomes to get after you through the air, which is nightmare fuel.

Through six weeks, the Chiefs are 5-0, so no one has found the formula to stop this Kansas City team yet, and only two games have been decided by one score, so Andy Reid's team is getting it done.

The Seahawks' offense has been up and down through the first six weeks, while the defense has done its part, and I get the sense that the defense is again going to have to put on the Superman cape to try and curtail this Chiefs juggernaut led by Walker.

Because if they can't, Walker will continue to do what he's done all season, and that's run over teams with ease.
