Price injured his shoulder in the win over Arizona, and it isn't known if he'll take his place against Washington.

The Seattle Seahawks have got some good production out of rookie running back Jadarian Price in the first two weeks.

A total of 104 yards from 23 carries, going at 4.5 yards per clip, Price has been as advertised to begin his NFL career.

But against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 2, Price was bitten by the injury bug. Initially thought to be a chest injury, it is now being called a shoulder injury.

It isn't known whether or not Price will take his place against the Washington Commanders on the road in Week 3, but if he can't, Emanuel Wilson, who took the majority of the carries against Arizona, is a more than capable replacement.

And head coach Mike Macdonald offered an injury update on Price that will make Seattle fans breathe a little easier.

"No details, I mean, that's pretty much what it is with JD, it's just something we'll monitor throughout the week, shouldn't be a long-term thing," Macdonald said.

So, that's a positive for the Seahawks.

In truth, there is zero need to push Price to play in Week 3, given how long the season is and the style he plays with, Price could very well get banged up again in Washington, and miss even more time.

So, a cautious approach will be what the Seahawks will likely do this week, as whether or not Price practices will be a determining factor in whether he suits up on Sunday.

With no more than 13 carries in a game yet, something that, according to offensive coordinator Brian Fleury, is part of the plan, simply because Price is a rookie, it might be a couple of weeks before we see a full workload for the Notre Dame stud.

For now, it's slow and steady for Price, as he looks to nurse a shoulder injury and get back to the bull he was in Week 1.
