There's a new favorite in the NFC West.
The Los Angeles Rams' trade for superstar defensive end Myles Garrett has thrown a wrench into the Seattle Seahawks' hopes of running through the NFC West on the way to another Super Bowl.
The Seahawks will be returning major contributors, but they've also lost some pieces that will result in questions needing answers during training camp and on into the regular season.
Meanwhile, Garrett has finally found a new home after his stellar career to this point with the Cleveland Browns. He's coming off his best season yet, winning his second Defensive Player of the Year award after setting a new NFL sack record.
ESPN had already pinned Matthew Stafford's Rams as Super Bowl favorites entering the 2026 season, but those odds have now shortened even more, and pushed their division-rival Seahawks down further in the projections.
"Los Angeles had already been the Super Bowl favorite, but the transaction pushed them from +800 to +650, then further to +600," said Doug Greenberg. "That's well ahead of the second tier consisting of the Baltimore Ravens and Buffalo Bills at 10-1, as well as the reigning champion Seattle Seahawks at 11-1."
DraftKings has the Seahawks at +196 to win the NFC West and +570 to reach the conference title game, in addition to the +1100 to win it all for a second year in a row.
However, those numbers won't shy fans away from putting their money on Seattle.
"With Seattle's recent win still fresh in bettors' minds, the public is likely to show strong interest in them again," said head of football at Caesars Sportsbook, Joey Feazel.
Looking at how the Seahawks will start that trek to the playoffs, it'll be a rematch with the team they beat to end last season, the reigning AFC champion New England Patriots.
They were also active to begin the month of June.
The Pats made their move to acquire wide receiver A.J. Brown official. After months of speculation, the Philadelphia Eagles traded Brown to New England, but because it was a transaction that was believed to happen, the Patriots' odds of winning their seventh Vince Lombardi Trophy stayed put at +1600, the sixth-best odds in the league.
Seattle is a slim -3.5 favorite in the Week 1 Super Bowl rematch, held at Lumen Field in the Pacific Northwest.
