The Seahawks need to take the offensive load off Jaxon Smith-Njigba, and the answer to that might be in the NFC West.

The Seattle Seahawks' offense in 2025 was Jaxon Smith-Njigba in the passing game and Kenneth Walker as the team's leading rusher.

Well, for new coordinator Brian Fleury, he hasn't got Walker, and I'd imagine the league has woken up to Smith-Njigba after his stellar 2025 season.

The Seahawks' offense has been largely forgotten about this offseason, aside from Jadarian Price being drafted in the first-round, as the focus has been on the defense.

But the receiver room should be where attention has to be, with an aging Cooper Kupp and Rashid Shaheed, a part-time receiver, as Sam Darnold's other options.

That has to change, and with the Seahawks still having ample cap space ($32.7 million per Over The Cap), the franchise can still add some nice pieces.

But who? Well, one name that has been brought up already this offseason has been San Francisco 49ers weapon, Jauan Jennings.

And for NFL.com's Matt Okada, he sees it as an excellent fit.

"Mike Macdonald’s squad needs a legitimate WR2," Okada wrote. "Perhaps a guy with who wins contested catches and is a red-zone threat, who will also willingly contribute in the critical Seahawks run game, would suffice.

"If Jennings is down to sign for No. 2 money -- somewhere around the $22 million per year Spotrac has calculated as his market value -- he’d be an excellent fit for former teammate Sam Darnold and Co."

The big thing here is the money.

Jennings likely wants more than No. 2 money after over 1,500 yards and 15 TDs across the past two seasons. If he is willing to take less money, this could interest Seattle.

Looking at the numbers last season, the passing game was really JSN or bust.

He posted 1,793 yards. The next best was Kupp (593), and after that? Shaheed with 188.

Then receptions. JSN totaled 119; the next-best receiver was Kupp (47), then Shaheed (15). Lastly, Smith-Njigba had 163 targets, and Kupp was the next best with 70.

You take Smith-Njigba away, and the Seahawks don't have many reliable options, can Kupp, at 32 years old, be "that" guy? Maybe.

But the Seahawks need another veteran body who can put up consistent numbers, and that might just be Jennings...if the price is right.
