The Pittsburgh Steelers officially know if they will be facing off against Baker Mayfield this week.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are getting ready to take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this week, looking to improve to 4-2 on the season.

Pittsburgh will be heading out on the road for this game, with the team trying to grab its first win away from Acrisure Stadium. The Steelers are currently 3-0 on the year at home, while going 0-2 so far on the road.

But this game against the Buccaneers does offer them a good chance to claim the first road victory of the season. Pittsburgh will be taking on Tampa Bay without its star quarterback, Baker Mayfield, who has been ruled out for the game.

Mayfield has missed the last few weeks due to injury, and he isn't quite ready to return against the Steelers. In his place will be rookie starter Jalon Daniels, who led the Buccaneers to a win last week over the Dallas Cowboys.

While the team will be playing Daniels instead of Mayfield, Pittsburgh can't overlook the rookie signal-caller. Daniels has looked good in his limited time as the starter for the Buccaneers, throwing for 337 yards with three touchdowns and two interceptions.

The Tampa Bay offense has been much smoother with him under center, giving this team a boost that they desperately needed. Daniels has strong talent to use his legs when plays breakdown, and this will be an area for the Steelers to watch for.

The Pittsburgh defense will be heavily relied upon in this game, and they want to put together a better showing. The Steelers have been carried by its offense this season, with the defense still failing to find consistency on the field.

But if Pittsburgh can pressure Daniels from the opening kickoff, it could help force him out of a rhythm, giving the team a better chance to win. The Steelers have the talent to make this happen, but will now need to execute the game plan on Sunday.

As for the offense, quarterback Aaron Rodgers looks very comfortable in the pocket this season. Rodgers has played well under head coach Mike McCarthy's system, turning back the clock a little bit.

But Pittsburgh is dealing with some injuries to wide receivers this week, giving this team a big challenge to overcome. The Steelers will hope that Rodgers can do enough with whoever is out on the field, giving the offense a spark against a feisty Tampa Bay defense.

Kickoff between the Steelers and Buccaneers is set for 10:00 a.m. PT/1:00 p.m. ET.
