Analyst Louis Riddick elevates Notre Dame's Jeremiyah Love, comparing him to NFL's elite running backs like McCaffrey and Robinson. The Titans could secure a game-changing weapon.
The Jeremiyah Love hype train with the Tennessee Titans is gaining more traction as the 2026 NFL Draft is on the horizon.
NFL Network's Daniel Jeremiah had previously mentioned how good a fit he thought Love would be with the Titans, but doubled down on his stance in a recent NFL conference call.
This all started after General Manager Mike Borgonzi shared that the Titans plan to take the best player available throughout the draft at the NFL Owners Meetings. That statement made it sound as if it were fairly certain the Titans would take the Notre Dame product.
Other top prospects like Rueben Bain Jr., David Bailey, Carnell Tate and Sonny Styles have been mocked to the Titans. However, the team could decide to address one of those needs later in the draft if Borgonzi's claim is true.
Love has been compared to former Titans running back DeMarco Murray in the past, but ESPN's Louis Riddick upped the ante recently. Riddick compared Love to star running backs around the league, such as Christian McCaffrey, Bijan Robinson, and Jahmyr Gibbs.
Riddick argued that taking Love wouldn't be a reach and would elevate the Titans' offense, helping Cam Ward reach new heights.
"There's been an argument made that one way to make a quarterback take a huge jump from year one to two, or any point in his career, is to give him a legit No. 1 wide receiver," Riddick said. "How about I just give you a legit No. 1 weapon? How about if I just give you that? What if I just gave Cam Ward Bijan Robinson? Or if I gave him Jahmyr Gibbs? Or if I gave him Christian McCaffrey? You think that offense wouldn't level up immediately? Of course it would. He's in that category."
Gibbs, McCaffery and Robinson have a combined nine Pro Bowls during their time in the NFL. If Love is even half the player that they all are, the Titans would be happy with the pick.
Everyone questioned the Detroit Lions' decision to take Gibbs 12th overall out of Alabama in the 2023 NFL Draft. I think most people would agree that not only was it the right pick for the Lions, but also the best they could've made.
He gives the Lions offense another weapon that can take over games. Gibbs has made the Pro Bowl every season of his NFL career, and the Titans are hoping that Love can be the same kind of player if they take him No. 4 overall.
If what Riddick says is true, then the Titans can't afford to pass on a player of that quality.
