Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kyler Murray earns a fitting grade for his performance in Week 7 against the Indianapolis Colts.

The Minnesota Vikings have been able to stay undefeated as they defeated the Indianapolis Colts in Week 7 by a final score of 16-10, however, the defense and the special teams have still been doing a lot of the work, with the offense still struggling to find a rhythm.

Speaking of the offense, quarterback Kyler Murray had a decent game on Sunday, and as a result, he received a fitting quarterback grade in the latest quarterback report card.

Following Week 7 games, Bleacher Report NFL analyst Brent Sobleski did QB report cards for 2026 NFL Week 7, and for Murray, he received an overall grade of a C, which is quite interesting based on how he played.

In Week 7, Murray completed 14 of his 24 passes for 150 yards and one touchdown while also adding five carries for 39 yards on the ground as a rusher.

Looking at how Murray played, he was once again unable to have an explosive day as a passer, which is not what this Vikings team was hoping for when they brought him on this offseason. However, Murray has been able to do enough to lead the Vikings to wins.

On that note, Murray's biggest play of the game was his 35-yard run at the beginning of the fourth quarter which got him and the offense into the red zone and then on the next play, Murray threw a five-yard touchdown pass to tight end T.J. Hockenson.

Aside from that, there were lots of problems for Murray and the offense being able to move the ball which has been the case all season and was alluded to by Sobleski in the report card when focusing on the fact that the defense has been doing a lot of the work for the Vikings over the first part of the season.

With that said, Murray receiving a quarterback grade of a C is quite fitting because he is able to make plays on occasion and can put the offense in good spots at times, but he has been unable to do that consistently, which is why there are questions about this team despite the 6-0 start.

Ultimately, the Vikings are undefeated, but they need to find a way to be able to move the ball more effectively and consistently on offense because, as Sobleski notes, there will be a team that gets the best of defensive coordinator Brian Flores and his defense, and when that does happen, the offense has to respond.

So, the takeaway from Week 7  and really the entire season tus far is that Murray has made plays when he needed to in order to help the Vikings stay undefeated, but moving forward Murray and the offense have to find a way to be more consistent otherwise this team could be in trouble if the defense and the special teams do not have a great day.

As the Vikings head into an NFC North clash with the Detroit Lions, it will be interesting to see if Murray and this offense can find some success because the Lions have a very explosive offense, and if Minnesota cannot move the ball on offense, it is very possible that Detroit will hand the Vikings their first loss of the 2026 season.
