Borussia Dortmund Make Enquiry For PSG Wonderkid Ibrahim Mbaye

Borussia Dortmund have reportedly made contact with Paris Saint-Germain regarding Ibrahim Mbaye. The Senegalese forward has attracted interest from several clubs.

Premier League clubs are also monitoring the player. His future may depend on opportunities available to him at PSG.

Ibrahim Mbaye is 18 years old and currently playing football in France for PSG. He recently took part in the 2026 FIFA World Cup for Senegal, scoring their opening goal of the tournament.

He primarily plays as a right winger, but is versatile enough to play on the left-hand side also. This is something valuable in most modern-day attacking players, especially at PSG, who love rotating their front line.

Coming from the PSG academy, he has found himself a two-time European champion. However, game time has been limited given the firepower ahead of him in the Parisian squad.

There has been an increase in the player’s match time, though, as during his first senior season he clocked 24 games. At the end of the second season, he played 31 games, playing over 600 more minutes in the league.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Borussia Dortmund have enquired about the player for a few days. Usually, this is to understand the situation of a player.

Borussia Dortmund has a solid reputation for developing younger talents. Recent notable pathways have been made for Erling Haaland and Jude Bellingham.

The type of profile that Ibrahim Mbaye possesses aligns very closely with how Dortmund will go about finding an Adeyemi replacement. Mbaye is a versatile and speedy forward.
