Borussia Dortmund have been quietly going about their business this summer, working around a World Cup, but they have still managed to secure some signings as well as facilitating some outgoings.

Karim Adeyemi - Heading To Barcelona
Undoubtedly, the most high-profile incoming or outgoing involving Dortmund so far this transfer window is the imminent departure of German forward Karim Adeyemi. The winger had been in talks with Borussia Dortmund over a new contract due to his current one being set to expire in 2027; however, those talks stalled.
This then led to the development of Barcelona becoming interested in doing a deal with Dortmund to secure Karim Adeyemi's signature this summer. Barcelona's first bid of around €20 million (£17 million) was rejected by Borussia Dortmund emphatically. However, after further negotiations and rumours of a potential swap deal, the two clubs agreed on a fee of €22 million (£18.7 million) with potentially €9 million (£7.7 million) in future add-ons.

Yan Couto - Heading to Como
Another player who looks set to leave the club this summer is Yan Couto. The Brazilian full-back has been at the centre of a transfer saga for most of this summer so far due to his deal to move to Como going through stages of being nailed on to happen, to being on the verge of collapse.
Como made their interest clear in Yan Couto early in this window, with a deal reportedly advancing quickly. However, a few weeks went by with complete silence until it was reported that the deal was on the verge of collapse due to the two clubs being unable to reach a full agreement on the details of the deal.

The move will be an initial loan with an option to buy for Como next summer for a fee of around €20 million (£17 million) plus a loan fee.
This would again represent good business for Dortmund should the deal become permanent, as they would make back the money they paid for Yan Couto from Manchester City in 2025.
Joane Gadou - Signed for Dortmund From RB Salzburg
Now for some incomings, and the first of those is one that has been confirmed for some time, which is the transfer of French central defender Joane Gadou from RB Salzburg for a reported €19.5 million (£16.6 million). The 19-year-old defender has just come off the back of his second season playing for RB Salzburg since signing for them for €10 million (£8.5 million) in 2024 from PSG.

Additionally, with the current injury problems at centre half for Dortmund, with both Emre Can and Nico Schlotterbeck out injured, it may present Joane Gadou with an excellent opportunity to hit the ground running for the Yellow Wall and immediately prove why Dortmund paid the money they have for him.
Konstantinos Karetsas - Potential BVB Icon Replacement Incoming?
And the most recent potential transfer incoming, that is advancing, is for Greek forward Konstantinos Karetsas. The 10-time capped Greece international is currently playing for Belgian top division side Genk after coming through their youth system and making his debut for the senior team back in January 2023. Highly rated by several teams from across Europe, Borussia Dortmund are desperate to make him the long-term Julian Brandt replacement.
At just 18 years old, he has registered 6 goals and 18 assists over three years in Belgium, and to be doing that at such a young age shows that the sky really is the limit for this Greek playmaker. The number Genk is wanting for the player is around €35 million (£29.8 million), which is a step price tag for a massively unproven player, especially in a top league, but there is clearly the belief that this player, with a good few years of development, could be worth double that fee in years to come.
