The expected completion dates of this election are around the 6th or 7th of June, with all candidates currently promising many high-profile moves in the transfer window. So, that does then beg the question, is this all just a tactical pull from Yilirim in order to secure his presidency?

The price tag being reported by BILD is around €40 million, which is the price Dortmund have set, but Fenerbache wants to lower this number. Guirassy himself is reportedly happy either way; he is open to a move to Turkey if a financial package can be agreed upon by all parties, but is also open to waiting until after the World Cup to see if any other opportunities come his way.

In summary, movement of this transfer is unlikely until after the Fenerbache Presidential Elections have taken place, but even then, if the clubs cannot agree on a fee or Guirassy feels he is better served waiting until after the World Cup, this transfer could rumble on for some time.
