With clubs from around Europe hurriedly trying to secure their top targets this summer, despite the ongoing World Cup and the difficulties that bring when it comes to transfer windows, it would appear that some of those clubs are preparing to make offers for Borussia Dortmund's key players.
The Latest On Waldemar Anton As Manchester United Set To Push Forward
One of those players is Waldemar Anton. The German centre back is of high interest to many clubs, but the front-runners are seemingly Manchester United.
That is because reports from @RNBVB suggest that the Red Devils are looking to make an opening bid for Waldemar Anton, following approval from Manchester United manager Michael Carrick.
This follows a season for Manchester United which ended in Champions League qualification, but had its issues along the way.
Most notably of those issues was consistent injuries in the Manchester United backline, with Lisandro Martinez and Matthijs De Ligt being the main culprits of this.

Interest In Felix Nmecha Is Only Growing

The German midfielder has been a key cog in the Borussia Dortmund machine last campaign and has played a starring role in Julian Nagelsmann’s Germany, beginning their World Cup adventure with two wins out of two.

It now appears that the decisions regarding the futures of both Waldemar Anton and Felix Nmecha lie with Borussia Dortmund, with neither player having an active release clause this summer.
This means any club wanting either of these players will need to negotiate directly with Borussia Dortmund, so the club can demand whatever fee it deems acceptable.
For Felix Nmecha, Borussia Dortmund may be more willing to sell him, but not for any lower than his reported £80 million release clause that is active from next summer.
Waldemar Anton, on the other hand, Borussia Dortmund are likely to be more opposed to selling the German defender. This is not only because they are planning on discussing a contract extension with the player following the World Cup, but also now that Nico Schlotterbeck is out injured, Borussia Dortmund will be counting on players like Waldemar Anton to step up in Schlotterbeck's absence, so they won't be keen on losing him this summer.

In summary, Borussia Dortmund are unlikely to be easy to negotiate with regarding either Waldemar Anton or Felix Nmecha, so any clubs that do want to sign the German internationals, whether that is Liverpool, Real Madrid, Manchester United or Bayern Munich, are going to have to pay a premium price for the pair.
And with Borussia Dortmund under no immediate pressure to sell, they will ensure they get the maximum out of any deal involving Felix Nmecha and Waldemar Anton.
