The PSV manager hails Amsterdam’s clinical new duo, detailing how Brandt’s technical mastery and Arokodare’s rare physicality have revitalized the Dutch giants’ title ambitions this season.
PSV head coach Peter Bosz has praised Ajax's recruitment this season, singling out Julian Brandt and Tolu Arokodare after both summer arrivals made strong starts in Amsterdam.
Speaking to De Telegraaf, Bosz acknowledged the experience Ajax added to their squad and said several of their new signings had already made a significant impact.
“Ajax have focused on experience and a number of those players are doing very well. They have strengthened enormously,” Bosz said, as quoted by GOAL.
The comments come after Ajax made notable changes to their squad during the summer, with technical director Jordi Cruyff bringing in Brandt on a three-year contract before Arokodare arrived on loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Both players have quickly established themselves as important attacking options.
Brandt has scored six goals in 11 appearances, while Arokodare has also found the net six times in nine matches.

The PSV manager believes the 29-year-old's qualities are especially well suited to the Eredivisie.
“With Brandt, they have brought in a player I know very well,” Bosz said.
“He is almost made for the Dutch league.”
Brandt's technical ability and experience have made him an important part of Ajax's improved attacking output, while his early goalscoring record has further strengthened his impact.
For Bosz, the German's arrival represents an experienced addition who can immediately contribute in the Netherlands and can prove to be a thorn in PSV's championship ambitions.
Arokodare Adds a Different Dimension
Bosz also highlighted Arokodare, whose physical profile gives Ajax something less familiar in the Dutch game.
“They have also signed a big striker,” Bosz said.
“We do not really know that in the Netherlands. That is a quality injection for Ajax.”
Arokodare's arrival has given Ajax a powerful centre-forward option, and his six goals in nine matches underline the immediate contribution he has made.
The Nigerian striker joined on loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers and has quickly adapted to his new surroundings.
Ajax Strengthen Ahead of Title Race
Bosz's comments also underline the changing landscape at the top of the Eredivisie. Ajax's summer recruitment has brought experience into the squad, with Brandt and Arokodare among the players already making an impact.
For PSV, who remain among the leading contenders, Ajax's improved squad represents yet another challenge in the race for domestic honours.
Bosz's assessment is clear: Ajax have strengthened significantly, while two of their most prominent additions have already demonstrated why the club targeted them.
Brandt has brought proven experience and goals, while Arokodare has introduced a physical dimension that Bosz believes is unusual in the Dutch league.
Both signings have made an immediate impression, and their early form has added further weight to Bosz's assessment of Ajax's summer recruitment.
