PSV are looking to strengthen their attack with 17-year-old Mikkel Bro Hansen but face a difficult negotiation with Bodø/Glimt. The Norwegian club want to retain the highly rated striker, while the youngster is keen on a move to Eindhoven.
PSV are exploring another attacking addition as they continue to shape their squad for the 2026/27 season, with 17-year-old Mikkel Bro Hansen emerging as a potential target.
According to PSV watcher Rik Elfrink of Eindhovens Dagblad, the Eindhoven club are interested in the young striker, who currently plays for the Norwegian side Bodø/Glimt.
Bro Hansen remains a raw talent, but he has developed further than his age might suggest. He has already made regular substitute appearances for Bodø/Glimt's first team, giving him experience at senior level despite being only 17.
PSV Face Difficult Negotiations
Bodø/Glimt's position complicates PSV's interest. The Norwegian club are keen to extend Bro Hansen's contract and are regarded as difficult negotiators.
The youngster, however, is reportedly very keen on making the move to Eindhoven. That could work in PSV's favour, although the Dutch champions would still have to pay a substantial fee, running into the millions, to prise him away.
At present, the two sides appear to be some distance apart in negotiations. There is also the possibility that other clubs could enter the race before an agreement is reached.
Pléa Injury Could Accelerate Move
The situation has taken on added importance following Alassane Pléa's latest injury. The French forward is expected to be sidelined for more than a month, potentially prompting PSV to accelerate their pursuit of Bro Hansen.
“At the same time, I remain determined and will do everything I can to be back as soon as possible,” Pléa asserted. “It’s not about how often you fall, but how often you get back up.”
PSV previously decided against offering Myron Boadu a permanent contract despite the striker appearing capable of adding depth to the squad. Pléa's injury also raises sporting questions given the serious injury he suffered last season.

PSV have endured a difficult start to the campaign and must balance the need for immediate results with longer-term squad planning.
The club's recruitment has developed slowly this summer, with the World Cup, an early league start and a late transfer deadline all contributing to a congested window. New signings Kodai Sano and Filip Kostić are yet to make an appearance in the PSV shirt.
With the season already underway, PSV cannot afford to keep dropping points while their squad continues to take shape. The potential move for Bro Hansen therefore represents both a long-term investment and, amid Pléa's injury, a decision that could require greater urgency.
